Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) night shift position requiring Epic experience and a VA or compact RN license.
Responsibilities
- Work in a hospital-based Progressive Care Unit with general medicine and hospitalist patients
- Patient ratio currently 1:5 with a goal of 1:4
- Scheduled for 3x12 hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
- Floating required to other PCU and Med Surg units as needed
- EPIC is the electronic medical record used
- All requested time off must be submitted up front and approval for Christmas off cannot be granted
- Travelers are required to work at least one holiday per 13-week assignment, except during winter holidays when two holidays are required
- Candidates living within 100 miles of the facility are not accepted as travelers
- Candidates living 50-99.9 miles away or less than 50 miles have specific eligibility and extension limitations
- Prior employees must have at least a one-year break before returning as a traveler
- Facility modules and Epic training included in orientation
Requirements
- Active VA or compact RN license required
- Epic charting experience required
- Minimum two professional references required for consideration
- Must provide a copy of driver's license and Social Security number
