The Sous Chef will support the management team in executing restaurant strategies, managing costs, and ensuring high-quality food and service standards in a fine dining steakhouse. Candidates must have at least two years of senior management experience, NYC Food Protection certification, and proficiency with various technology systems. The role requires flexibility in working hours and physical ability to handle kitchen demands while maintaining operational and training standards.
We are looking for an experienced Sous Chef for our newly opened fine dining steakhouse. We are currently focused on candidates with at least three years of New York City kitchen leadership experience.

Sous Chef Requirements and Qualifications:
- Works with the management team to develop and execute strategies to achieve operational goals at the restaurant level
- Participates in weekly manager meetings
- Ensures consistent execution of food, service, and hospitality that aligns with our values
- Proactively manages costs in conjunction with the Chef, with an eye on the daily & weekly projections and budgets
- Ensures that operational and training standards are consistently followed and executed by the entire restaurant team
- Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in a senior management position
- A passion for excellence in hospitality
- NYC Food Protection Certificate (Food Handler’s) required
- Proficiency in a variety of technology systems, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and POS
- Ability to effectively solve and deal with a variety of changing situations under stress
- Self-driven, results-oriented, and proactive attitude
- A solid track record of leading high-caliber service
- Flexible work schedules: the ability to work night, weekends, holidays, as business permits
- The ability to lift, carry, push, or pull heavy objects, up to 50lbs
- Kneel, bend, or stoop, ascend or descend stairs; be on feet for extended periods of time
