Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position in Massachusetts requiring strong tele and float experience.
Responsibilities
- Position is in a hospital Med/Surg unit with 20 to 34 beds depending on unit
- Typical nurse to patient ratio is 1:6
- Personal scrubs of any color are permitted
- Willingness to float to any Med/Surg unit is required
- Position requires Meditech Expanse EMR experience is strongly preferred
- Block scheduling is not permitted
- Traveler must have their own vehicle for this assignment
- Must be willing to float to any Med/Surg unit as needed
- Holiday coverage requires working one of the following: Christmas Eve/Day and following Friday/weekend, or New Year's Eve/Day and following Friday/weekend
- No more than 5 days of requested time off (RTO) will be accepted and must be declared prior to acceptance
- Scheduling or RTO requests will not be approved after offer
- Personal transportation is required for assignment
- Personal address must be included for eligibility verification
Requirements
- Active MA RN license must be in hand at the time of consideration
- Minimum of 2 years current Med/Surg experience required
- Prior tele experience required
- Completion of basic dysrhythmia course strongly required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required in hand at time of consideration
- Meditech Expanse experience strongly preferred
- Applicants must reside at least 50 miles away from the facility
