RN Position Job Notes:
Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:
• Work 3x12 hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Full-time position with 36 hours per week
• Care for adult and pediatric patients in high acuity emergency department
• Handle designated stroke, STEMI, trauma, and resuscitation cases
• Work in regional advanced cardiac hospital setting
• Required certifications: Current BLS, ACLS, PALS (AHA only), and TNCC certification
• Must hold RN License in Texas or compact state
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred
• One year of experience in related nursing specialty preferred
• Must attend New Nurses Orientation within first 30 days of hire
• Complete preceptorship with designated trained staff member
• Successfully complete organizational entry competency validation and Emergency Department-specific competency validation
• Complete all annual competency verification requirements
• Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation
• Administer medications and treatments using appropriate protocols while monitoring for side-effects and effectiveness
• Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members and caregivers
