RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Neuro

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Weekend work as needed with standard expectation of every other full weekend
• 13-week contract duration with option to extend up to 26 weeks
• Float requirements to Med Surg and Progressive units as needed
• Work in 17-bed unit with 1:6 patient ratio
• Must have charge experience OR be willing to learn and take on charge duties
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA required), NIH (can be completed at orientation)
• Neuro and stroke experience highly preferred
• Care for medical and surgical neuro patients including Parkinson's, stroke, lumbar conditions (no trauma)
• Use Epic EMR system and standard equipment including IV pumps
• Dress code requires black scrubs
• Must work at least one major summer or winter holiday
• Up to 5 days time off per 13-week period automatically approved
• Flu vaccination required from November 1 - April 1
• Must attend Neuroscience Nursing course as assigned by nurse manager
