This locum tenens position seeks a board-certified anesthesiologist to provide critical care coverage in a Georgia hospital ICU, managing 40-45 patients daily across multiple specialties. Responsibilities include performing routine critical care procedures, mechanical ventilation management, and shift coverage both day and night. Candidates must hold an active Georgia medical license, DEA registration, be fully vaccinated for COVID-19, and use EPIC EMR system.
Coverage Needed: Shifts: Days: 7:00 am - 7:00 pm Nights: 7:00 pm - 7:00 am Exact Shifts as of 8.15.2023 8/31-9/4 Days 9/8-9/11 Nights 9/19th-25th 9/25 Nights 10/2-10/4 Nights 10/20 Nights 11/17-11/19 Nights Clinical Information: 10-15 shifts per month 40-45 daily patient volume 54 ICU beds- medical, surgical, neuro, cardiac Routine Critical Care procedures includingcentral and arterial line placement, thoracentesis, intubations and management of mechanical ventilation. 24/7 coverage " 3 MD day and 1 APP day. 1 MD night and 1 APP night EMR: EPIC Required: Board Certified Active Georgia state license and DEA Must be open to working both day and nights DEA must remain in state to maintain privileges.Provider must be willing transfer and maintain DEA in state for the duration of privileges being active, or obtain a new in state DEA to remain in state for the duration of privileges being active Current Flu Vaccine Must be fully vaccinated for Covid 19 Exemptions only allowed for religious or medical reasons, once approved by the facility.
