A Family Practice/Primary Care Nurse Practitioner provides PRN medical evaluations primarily for veterans, conducting non-treatment compensation and pension exams involving interviews and physical assessments such as range of motion and muscle strength testing. The role requires proficiency in musculoskeletal, diabetes, cardiovascular, respiratory, and neurological condition evaluations, with no prescribing responsibilities. Work is flexible across multiple locations, involving short or full-day shifts, and requires completion of DMA certification and training for credentialing.

Must be within 50 miles
VES locations needed:
- Marion- 1 half day needed
Provider s own office locations- Provider must have their own office
- Coeburn- 2 shifts per week needed
- Covington- 10 shifts per week needed (multiple openings)
- Hillsville- 2 shifts per week
- Woodstock- 2 shifts per week needed
1099 compensation:
-$350 for half day (4 hours)
-$800 for full day (8 hours)
-$650 for completing all required training and starting assignment
Willing to accept these specialties:
- Family medicine
- Internal medicine
- Orthopedic surgery
- Anyone with a background in general medicine, or experience with compensation and pension.

- Need is on a PRN basis, ongoing
- Willing to accept these specialties: family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, etc, or anyone with a background in general medicine, or experience with compensation and pension.
- Two (2) options for coverage - Travel and perform exams at VES leased facility and/or schedule Veterans within your own practice
- Option to work days(4-hours) and/or full days(8-hours)
- One-Time non-treatment C&P exams + separation health assessments
- Exams are primarily interview-based with some physical assessment: range of motion testing, muscle strength testing.
- No prescribing, no treatment
- Quick credentialing & onboarding
- DMA certification available (can get CME credits) will need to obtain once privileged if not already certified
- Use of Goniometer required
- Familiar with Musculoskeletal, Diabetes, and Cardio required
- Proficient in METs testing, evaluating and diagnosing respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions.
- Own personal laptop (NO MACs)
The provider will need to complete their DMA training.
