Neonatology Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant Perm Position

Overview:
Join our dynamic and expanding neonatology team at Oak Hill Hospital in Brooksville, Florida. This is a rewarding opportunity for experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioners (NNPs) or NICU-trained Physician Assistants (PAs) seeking a stable, full-time position in a supportive and progressive environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive neonatology care to neonates in a Level-III NICU, ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and quality of care.
- Collaborate closely with neonatologists, maternal-fetal medicine specialists, and various subspecialists to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Manage acute and chronic Neonatal cases, perform procedures, and participate in family education and support.
- Contribute to a team-based approach, ensuring smooth unit operations during 16-hour shifts, with potential for 24-hour shifts as the unit expands.
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to hospital policies, state and federal regulations, and best practice protocols.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with NICU advancements and maintain certification requirements.
Qualifications:
- For NNP Candidates:
- Board Certified APRN with a national specialty certification as an NNP (FNP, PNP, or other NP certifications not accepted).
- Master s Degree or higher in Nursing.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent (not including training or RN experience) NNP work in a NICU setting.
- For PA Candidates:
- Master s Degree from an accredited program.
- Board Certified through the NCCPA.
- Completion of a neonatal PA training program highly preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of NICU experience as a PA.
- Additional Requirements:
- Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced NICU environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to reside in or relocate to the local area; residency may be required.
- Candidates without at least 2+ years of NICU experience or who are new graduates are not eligible.
- Not accepting locum or traveling candidates.
