Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN with Level 1 or comparable Level 2 trauma experience and a valid NH or compact RN license.
Responsibilities
- Position is in a 10-bed critical care unit of a hospital
- Cares for critically unstable medical/surgical patients with acute coronary syndrome and unstable hemodynamics
- Patient ratios are 2:1 or 1:1 based on acuity and RN experience
- Uses cardiac monitoring systems and advanced technological equipment
- 12-hour shifts available: 3x12 nights or 3x12 days (please specify preference)
- Requires working every other weekend
- Rotating holiday coverage is required
- Responsibilities focus on rapid recognition and treatment of life-threatening complications in critical patients
- Must be able to provide total patient care to those with unstable vital functions
- Work in a supportive environment with advanced monitoring and documentation tools
- Holiday and weekend coverage are mandatory as part of the role
Requirements
- Active NH or compact state RN license with proof of residency
- Minimum 1.5 years of recent ICU experience with telemetry nursing skills
- Recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 trauma experience within the last 2 years
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- CCRN certification preferred
- No local candidates accepted; must live more than 75 miles from the facility
