This role involves performing Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments for Veterans at various locations in Indiana. Candidates provide medical evaluations primarily through interviews and limited physical assessments without prescribing or treatment responsibilities. The position requires a licensed family medicine or related physician willing to work on a PRN basis with flexible hours and additional administrative duties.

This facility is part of Veterans Evaluation Services (VES), a government contractor dedicated to helping our nation's Veterans. They provide essential medical evaluation services through multiple locations across Indiana, including options for providers to utilize their own office spaces.

General Medicine Provider
Job Details:
• Perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments for Veterans• Multiple location options available: Evansville, Knox, South Bend (VES locations) or Seymour, Kokomo, Muncie (provider's own office)• Each location requires 2 days per week commitment• Provider's home address must be within 50 mile radius of assigned location• PRN basis, ongoing opportunity• Option to work half days (4-hours) and/or full days (8-hours)• One-time non-treatment CP exams + separation health assessments• Primarily interview-based exams with some physical assessment: range of motion testing, muscle strength testing• No prescribing, no treatment required• Quick credentialing and onboarding process• Eligible specialties: family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or anyone with background in general medicine or experience with compensation and pension• Must be proficient in METs testing, evaluating and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions• Must own a laptop (no Mac/Apple products)• Active and unrestricted full license required• Must be willing to complete DMA training to become DMA certified• Able to work weekends if desired/needed• Follow-up administrative work required (addendums, medical opinions, reading diagnostics)• Local candidates only, travel included in rates
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
