The CT Technologist I operates CT equipment to perform diagnostic exams under the supervision of radiology professionals and supports hospital staff and students. This role requires certification and knowledge of ionizing radiation practices as well as flexibility in working varied shifts. The position is entry-level, suitable for individuals with less than one year of experience in radiologic technology.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The CT Technologist I demonstrates knowledge and sense of responsibility in the daily operations of the CT department. They operate a variety of CT equipment to perform CT exams according to established practices under the direction of a Radiologist, Supervisor, and Lead Technologists, utilizing ionizing radiation. The CT technologist I is expected to provide support to Radiography students, new technologists and other hospital personnel as needed. May be required to work a variety of shifts, weekends, holidays, and take call on a rotational basis.
EDUCATION:
Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology approved by CAHEA/JERCT. Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).
EXPERIENCE:
Less than one year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist or CT Technologist.
