The OB/GYN Physician at Brattleboro Memorial Hospital provides comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care, including surgical procedures and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team. The role involves flexible scheduling with clinic and operating room days, supporting midwife-led obstetric care and a birth center. Candidates must be board certified or eligible, hold an active Vermont medical license, and commit to working full-time without concurrent positions or visa sponsorships.
Brattleboro Memorial Hospital is excited to invite a full-time Staff MD OB/GYN to join its hospital-owned Four Seasons OB/GYN practice. Located in the scenic town of Brattleboro, Vermont, our facility provides full-spectrum women s health care within a collaborative and community-respected environment. Job Responsibilities:- Provide comprehensive obstetrics and gynecology care
- Manage gynecologic consults from primary care providers and in-house midwives
- Perform various office-based gynecologic procedures
- Maintain a steady surgical volume utilizing three new operating rooms
- Participate in minimally invasive and advanced laparoscopic surgeries
- Work 3 4 clinic days weekly, seeing approximately patients daily
- Utilize an average of three dedicated OR days monthly
- Provide backup for midwife-led obstetric care, including uncomplicated deliveries
- Share manageable home call on a 1-in-4 rotation
- Support a birth center offering diverse childbirth options
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
- Practice evidence-based OB/GYN care
- Engage in a stable practice with low turnover rates
- Not open to candidates who commute more than 1 hour
- Not accepting visa candidates
- Not open to LOCUM or LOCUM to PERM candidates
- Not open to candidates who plan to work this job concurrently with another position
- MD or DO degree from an accredited program
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in OB/GYN
- Clean malpractice history
- Active Vermont medical license (must be obtained prior to start)
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited OB/GYN residency program in the U.S. or Canada
- Active Vermont medical license
- Board Certified or Board Eligible (date of graduation if board eligible must be stated)
