• Nursing Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (12-hour day shifts)

• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1360 - $1460 per week
• Patient Ratio: 4:1 (flexes to 5:1 during staffing shortages)
• Unit Size: 25 beds

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
• Minimum 1 year of recent PCU, progressive care, or acute care nursing experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications
• Strong communication, clinical support, and teamwork skills
• Preferred: Experience as a preceptor or charge nurse

PCU RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient care to PCU patients, including those with stroke, cardiac drips, continuous BiPAP, and post-procedure needs
• Monitor and interpret telemetry and bedside monitoring equipment
• Assist with emergent procedures such as thoracentesis
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Meditech EMR
• Uphold unit policies, safety protocols, and best nursing practices
