We are seeking a Primary Care Physician for a locum tenens assignment near San Gabriel, California. This is a full-time opportunity at a primary care clinic that provides outpatient care to patients of all ages. The position starts in early December 2024 and runs for a 13-week contract, with the possibility of extension. Position Details: Location: Near San Gabriel, CA Start Date: December 2, 2024 (or December 9, 2024) Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Patient Contact Time: 7 hours per day, with 1 hour for administrative work Patient Census: 18-20 patients per day Coverage Type: No call, no weekends Contract Length: 3+ months (13 weeks), with the possibility of extension Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive care to a diverse patient population, including pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients Perform common outpatient primary care procedures (e.g., skin biopsies, laceration repair, cyst removal) Utilize Epic EMR for charting and documentation Deliver patient-centered care in collaboration with a supportive medical team including medical assistants and front office staff Requirements: Board Certification: Family Medicine preferred but not required Licensure: Must hold an active California medical license in good standing DEA License: Required Certifications: BLS/ACLS required Experience: Minimum of 6 months recent outpatient primary care experience; must be familiar with California medical regulations EMR Experience: Epic experience strongly preferred Vaccination Requirements: COVID-19 and flu vaccines not mandatory, but recommended Perks: Work-life balance: Daytime hours, no on-call responsibilities, and observed holidays off (New Year's, Labor Day, Independence Day, Memorial Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas) Convenient location: Local candidates within driving distance preferred This is an excellent opportunity for a Primary Care Physician looking to practice in Southern California while enjoying a flexible, no-call schedule.
