This locum tenens position is for a board-certified Otolaryngologist (ENT specialist) in North Dakota, focusing on both pediatric and general ENT procedures. The role involves a 5x8 schedule with clinical and operating room duties, night and weekend on-call responsibilities, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary support team. Required credentials include IMLC licensure, DEA registration, and a minimum of 10 years of experience, with procedures primarily involving pediatric ear tubes, tonsillectomies, and related ENT surgeries.
Pay Rate: $255.00/hourCall Rate: Night Call $350, 24-Hour Call $1900 with 4 gratis hoursCoverage Needs:On Call: Required (Night call and weekend call during the assignment)Shift Details: 5x8; 3 days in clinic, 2 days in ORSchedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm; surgery days may start earlier at 7/7:30amWork Details:Support Staff: RNs, clerical support, 2 audiologists, 2 NPs (including a seasoned NP who handles tubes, new patients, pre-op and post-op care)Patient Load: 15-18 patients per day in clinic; 7-10 patients per day in ORPatient Population: All ages with a current focus on pediatrics; heavy caseloadDepartment: OtolaryngologyEMR System: CernerHospital Size: 318 bedsSpecial Procedures: Bread and butter ENT (ear, larynx, nasal/sinus, throat); peds procedures including ear tubes, tonsillectomies, etc.Skills Required: Bread and butter ENT proceduresRequirements:Board Certification: RequiredState License: Not required, but must have IMLC for licensureDEA Registration: RequiredCSR Registration: RequiredCertifications: BLS requiredExperience: Minimum of 10+ years preferred; no new gradsCredentialing Timeframe: Standard 60-90 days, with expedited processing possible (potentially 45 days or less with clean files).Willing to License: Yes (IMLC)
