Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Medical Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide care to a diverse patient population with medical surgical telemetry needs, including orthopedics, urology, ENT, GYN, general surgery, and progressive care patients. As a small, yet dynamic team, nurses will have the opportunity to engage with patients at various care levels while maintaining excellent clinical standards.
Responsibilities- Deliver patient-centered care to a variety of medical surgical telemetry patients.
- Utilize telemetry monitoring and respond to changes in patient status.
- Manage IVs and administer medications according to established protocols.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including hospitalist and support staff.
- Participate in rapid response and code situations as necessary.
- A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in medical surgical telemetry.
- ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
- NIH Stroke Scale certification is required prior to start.
- Experience with EPIC documentation within the last 2 years is required.
- Experience in progressive care is preferred.
