The position is for a board-certified or board-eligible Emergency Medicine Physician responsible for evaluating patients in the Emergency Department of a 98-bed hospital in southeastern Ohio. The hospital offers a broad range of clinical specialties, comprehensive 24-hour diagnostic and hospitalist services, and is nationally recognized for patient safety and experience. The role offers flexible scheduling, competitive compensation, and involvement in hospital committees, with no visa sponsorship available.
Client is seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician. Physician will be responsible for the evaluation of patients presenting themselves to the Emergency Department. Double Coverage (Fast Track) Physicians must be BC/BE in Family Practice or Internal Medicine with Emergency Medicine experience ED Attending Physician must be BC/ BE in Emergency Medicine by ABEM or AOBEM. Client is a 98-bed hospital located in beautiful southeastern Ohio. The hospital is supported by both independent and employed physicians in a wide range of the clinical specialties that include but are not limited to; Hospitalist, Oncology, Pulmonary/Critical care, General and Vascular surgery, Urology, ENT, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Orthopedics, Pediatrics, Internal Medicine and Family Practice. Client is nationally recognized for both patient experience and patient safety by being named a top hospital for patient experience by Healthgrades and for earning an A rating by Leapfrog for patient safety. Hospitalist services are available 24 hours a day and full diagnostic services are also available 24 hours a day. The hospital has a 12% admission rate. There is a broad pathology mix that includes trauma and approximately 25% pediatrics. The emergency department is active in EMS and employs the local EMS coordinator. Staff physicians are involved in multiple hospital committees including medical executive, patient care, trauma and disaster.
