The Vascular Surgery Nurse Practitioner provides comprehensive outpatient care including patient consultations, diagnostic test management, and collaborative treatment planning. Responsibilities include conducting physical exams, educating patients and families, maintaining medical documentation, and participating in quality improvement initiatives. The role requires an accredited Nurse Practitioner degree, active California NP license, national certification, and a DEA license.

Responsibilities:
Conduct patient consultations and follow-ups, perform comprehensive history and physical examinations, order diagnostic tests, review results, and report to the supervising physician as needed.
Manage all aspects of outpatient patient care, including handling patient calls and collaborating with interdisciplinary team members.
Maintain accurate and thorough medical documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medication adherence, and lifestyle modifications.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner (NP) approved program.
Active and valid California NP license.
National certification as an NP by a nationally accredited organization recognized by the state licensing board.
Active DEA license.
