The Chief Aviation Inspector oversees helicopter maintenance inspections and ensures compliance with FAA regulations, particularly 14 CFR Part 145.221. The role requires at least five years of experience, an FAA Airframe and Powerplant license, and Inspection Authorization, with additional knowledge of specific aircraft models preferred. This full-time position involves managing multiple priorities and may require occasional after-hours work.
We have an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled Chief Aviation Inspector to join our team in Van Nuys, CA. This is a full-time position, and hours of work are generally Monday through Friday. The operational needs of the organization may necessitate working after hours, weekends or holidays.
Chief Aviation Inspector Compensation:
- Base salary in the $125,000.00-$140,000.00 range

Chief Aviation Inspector Qualifications:
- At least 5 years’ experience in helicopter maintenance experience
- Current FAA issued Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license required
- FAA Inspection Authorization (IA) required
- Formal training on Sikorskys76, Airbus AS350 or Leonardo AW109 is a plus
- Prior experience working for an FAA Part 145 Rotorcraft Repair Station
- Advanced comprehension of FAR’s specifically 14 CFR Part 145.221
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task effectively and manage priorities
