Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position at a critical access hospital, requiring a WA or compact RN license and BCLS certification.
Responsibilities
- Labor & Delivery unit within a critical access hospital setting
- Level IV trauma center with approximately 300 deliveries per year
- Two nurses scheduled per shift with 1:4 ratio, occasionally 1:5 depending on unit needs
- OB nurses also care for Postpartum patients if no active labor patients are present
- Night shifts, three 12-hour shifts per week (19:00-07:00), with some weekend shifts required
- Cerner EMR used
- 13-week contract with possible extension
- First-time travelers are accepted for this position
- Scrubs are not provided; any color may be worn
- Return staff must have been gone at least one year to be eligible for this assignment
- The hospital's staffing and patient census may require flexibility in nurse-to-patient ratios
Requirements
- Active WA or compact RN license required
- BCLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery RN experience required, 2 years experience preferred
- Two references required demonstrating experience in Labor & Delivery
- Willingness to provide a copy of driver’s license and SSN for consideration
