Technologist - Clinical Laboratory II

Clinical Laboratory Technologist II; full-time hospital-based shift schedule in Florida; intermediate complexity lab work; ongoing role with expectation to assess competency (bachelor’s required for competency assessment). - Florida State Technologist (TN) or Supervisor (SU) license required - Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist - Associate’s degree with 5+ years’ experience or Bachelor’s degree preferred - Ability to work under stress, use LIS, and act with minimal supervision - Strong communication and critical-thinking skills

Complexity of Work: Intermediate knowledge of laboratory procedures and instrumentation. Ability to effectively relate and communicate with internal and external customers. Intermediate knowledge of laboratory information systems. Requires critical thinking skills, effective communication skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Required Work Experience: Minimum of three (3) years' experience required as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist. Other Information: Additional Education Info: Associate's degree with five (5) years or more of experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree. Bachelor's degree required to assess competency.Additional Cert/License Info: Florida State License as a Technologist (TN License) or Supervisor (SU License) in the area of responsibility
