Night shift with 3x12 schedule and hands-on IV experience required. LPN role in Med/Surg at Memphis, TN hospital. Nights: 3x12-hour shifts. Full-time, ongoing position (perm). Provide bedside care, meds, IVs, dressings; supervise nursing assistants; report to RN/MDs. - Tennessee LPN license (active)
- IV medication/infusion experience
- Med/Surg experience preferred
- Ability to work 3x12 night shifts
- Basic life support (BLS) certification
Full description
Responsibilities Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) plan and manage patient care specific to each patient. The LPN acts as the eyes and ears of Registered Nurses and Physicians and performs ongoing and accurate assessments of vital signs. LPN job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
LPNs administer and monitor patient medications and dressing changes.
Supervise nursing assistants and act as the leader of a group of nurses.
Find, address, and provide solutions for any problems a specific patient might have in terms of their care plan.
Administer intravenous medication and fluids and care for those intravenous lines in patients. Shift: 3x12 Nights
