American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position in Michigan, requiring a current MI RN license and proficiency with Cerner.
Responsibilities- Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting
- Position involves care for a diverse population of emergency patients
- 12-hour night shifts from 7:00pm to 7:30am with three shifts per week
- Every other weekend shift is required
- No on-call responsibilities
- Floating to a nearby sister hospital may be required
- Cerner EMR experience is required
- Primary responsibilities include coordinating and delivering quality, compassionate emergency care using the nursing process
- Must communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Online modules are typically completed onsite 1 week prior to start date
- Blocked scheduling is not permitted
- One week of requested time off is allowed
- Must be available for at least one holiday
- Background check and drug screen must be completed promptly after commitment
- Active MI RN license is required
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing is required
- Minimum of 2 years' recent Emergency Department experience is required
- Current AHA certifications in BLS and ACLS are required
- PALS and TNCC certifications are preferred
- Completion of online modules with a passing score prior to start is required
- COVID-19 vaccination is mandatory
