An excellent locum tenens opportunity for an experienced Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide coverage in a Provisional Level IV Emergency Department. This role is perfect for confident APPs who enjoy independent practice with on-site physician support at all times and a collaborative team environment

10-hour mid-level coverage Day shifts

Position Highlights
Independent APP practice evaluate & treat patients autonomously
Physician always available onsite for consultation
Supportive & stable ED team
No nights consistent mid-shift schedule
APPs also respond to house codes
Emergency Department Setting
Provisional Level IV Trauma
️ 25 ED beds
20,000 annual visits
20 patients per day per APP
️ Cerner EMR
Admissions 8% Transfers 2%
️ No Fast Track
Paramedic/ambulance radio supervision required
Clinical Resources & Support
24/7 Radiology (CT, MRI, X-ray)
24/7 Lab & AABB-certified Blood Bank
️ 24/7 OR availability
Surgical & specialty support including Orthopedics, OB, General Surgery, Neurology & Urology
Access to nearby referral centers within minutes when needed
Requirements (All Required No Exceptions)
️ Board-Certified NP or PA
️ Extensive recent Emergency Department experience
️ Active Michigan license at time of name clear
️ DEA (verbal confirmation accepted at name clear)
️ ACLS & PALS
️ Local providers only
