American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with at least 2 years of experience and ARRT (CT) certification for a CT department role at a Level II Trauma Center.
Responsibilities- Work in a hospital CT unit within a Level II Trauma Center
- Shifts are 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM with every other weekend required
- Five 8-hour shifts per week with no block scheduling
- No on-call requirement
- Potential to float to a sister hospital
- May perform procedures both in fixed units and in ambulatory mobile units
- Utilizes PACS and Radiology Information System (RIS) for imaging and study indexing
- Responsible for performing CT scans, administering IV contrast, and monitoring for patient reactions
- May assist radiologists with complex and sterile diagnostic procedures such as biopsies
- Ensures radiation safety and proper use of ALARA techniques
- Required to explain procedures, prepare patients, and maintain procedure rooms and supplies
- Completes documentation in medical records and imaging systems
- Must complete required background check and drug screen at least two weeks prior to start
- COVID vaccine is mandatory
- Travelers may be required to wear specific scrubs per facility policy
- All time off requests must be discussed with management after assignment begins
- Minimum of 2 years CT technologist experience required
- Active ARRT (CT) certification and BLS (AHA) required
- Active Michigan license required for consideration; license required if applicable
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Must complete required online modules with passing score prior to start
- Able to lift and/or move equipment or patients over 10 lbs
