CLOSED 12.22.2025 We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Director for the Anesthesiology Department. The successful candidate will provide exceptional anesthesia care and lead the department in delivering outstanding perioperative services. This role is based in a 324-bed medical center that offers 24-hour emergency services, Level II trauma care, and a broad range of specialty services. Location: 1-2 hours from WHITTEMORE, MI Key Responsibilities: Perform perioperative assessments and administer anesthesia for surgical, diagnostic, and therapeutic procedures. Monitor patients during surgery and provide thorough postoperative care. Oversee the Anesthesiology Department, ensuring high-quality care and compliance with medical standards. Schedule and Call: Full-time position with flexible scheduling. Call schedule is 1:8 with post-call day off. Candidate Requirements: Possess a U.S. medical degree or foreign equivalent. Board Certified or Eligible in Anesthesiology. Completed an ACGME-approved residency program. Eligible for an unrestricted medical license in Michigan, including a Controlled Substance License. Certified in PALS and ACLS by the American Heart Association.
