CVT | Leesburg Cath Lab | Day Shift | Full Time

Gain advanced interventional and structural heart experience in a high-volume, teaching Cath Lab. CVT/ scrub assistant role at UF Health Leesburg Cath Lab. Day shift 7am–7pm, 3x12hr shifts + on-call (one weeknight & ~every 3rd–4th weekend; must report within 30 min). Full-time, ongoing position in Leesburg, FL. - Associate's degree in Cardiovascular Tech, Radiologic Tech, or Respiratory Therapy OR 5+ years’ relevant experience - RCIS or RCES certification (required within 12 months of hire) - BLS and ACLS required - FL CRT, RRT, ARRT, RCIS or RCES if no degree (must obtain within 12 months)

Overview:

There are 3 Cath Labs at UF Health’s Leesburg Hospital and 1 Electrophysiology Lab. The Director is a servant-leader at UF Health Leesburg Hospital and he is dedicated to the success of his team and the people of his community. This is a close-knit Cath Lab where collaboration and teamwork is celebrated. The benefit about working here is that you will truly learn and acquire valuable experience, as there are a lot of complex interventional cases and structural heart cases. Responsibilities:

The Cath Lab CVT, under the direction the of the director/charge person, monitors procedures, including all diagnostic and interventional coronary and peripheral catheterization studies, ensures safe patient care, and works as a scrub assistant.This position shift will be:

• 7am-7pm =3 12 hours shifts + On-Call (1 night a week and 1 weekend a mo approximately every 3rd or 4th weekend=Fri night close of business to Mon 6 am)
• Must report w/in 30 min.

Qualifications:

• Education
• Associate's Degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, or Respiratory Therapy
• In Lieu of education requirements, a minimum of five (5) years’ experience and:
• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Certification (Required within 12 months of hire) OR
• Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) Certification (Required within 12 months of hire)
• Licensure/Certification/Registration
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification (preferred)
• If no ARRT, then one of the following licenses or certifications:

FL Certified Radiologic Technologist license OR

FL Registered Respiratory Therapist license OR

Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Certification OR

Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) Certification

any of the four license/certifications above within 12 months of hire if no degree in the applicable fields
