American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Night Shift Emergency Department position requiring a NY RN license and strong emergency care skills.
Responsibilities- Work in a combined adult and pediatric Emergency Department at a hospital
- Patient ratios up to 1:5 with mixed and shared acuity levels
- Three 12-hour night shifts per week from 19:00 to 07:00
- Every other weekend shifts required
- Floating required when census warrants
- Epic EMR is used; prior experience is preferred
- Open to first-time travelers
- Scrub color must be any combination of navy and white
- Not open to local candidates within 75 miles
- Minimal RTO (requested time off) permitted
- Block scheduling requests will be considered but not guaranteed
- Call-off policy allows for up to 3 shifts per 13 week assignment, with on-call in lieu of shift counting as a call-off
- Active NY RN license required at time of submission
- Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Department RN experience required
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Must have experience with adult and pediatric ED care, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, multisystem organ dysfunction management, blood product administration, central line care, phlebotomy, IV starts, continuous IV paralytics and sedation, emergency meds, IV vasopressors, procedural sedation, CVA, and isolation precautions
