An exciting locum tenens opportunity is available for a Hospitalist in the beautiful area near Plains, Montana. This assignment offers a chance to work in an inpatient setting providing care to both adults and pediatric patients, including newborns. The position involves scheduled clinical hours with night call coverage. Key Details: Location: Near Plains, MT Assignment Dates: March 10 - March 16, 2025 April 7 - April 13, 2025 June 16 - June 22, 2025 Additional ongoing shifts available throughout 2025 Shift Structure: 12-hour day shifts for adult care and night call coverage for pediatrics and newborns Call Type: Beeper call; response time required within 20 minutes Patients Per Shift: 6-12 patients Inpatient Focus: Covering adults, pediatric patients, and newborns Rounding: Assigned patients Required Skills & Experience: Board Certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Internal Medicine/Pediatrics (IM/PED) Recent experience (within the last 3 years) with pediatric and newborn patients in a hospitalist setting Ability to provide care for both adults and pediatric populations, including attending C-sections and high-risk deliveries Proficient in procedures such as intubation, ventilation management, and central line placement Experience with PICU and Nursery Levels I & II Pediatric ventilation management (acute and chronic) Certifications Required: NRP, BLS, ACLS, and PALS Practice Details: Support Staff: 2 RNs, additional medical assistants, and advanced practice providers Trauma Level: None Facility Capabilities: The facility has 24-hour access to general surgery, laboratory, orthopedic surgery, and radiology services Credentialing Timeframe: 30-60 days Travel & Lodging: Travel assistance and lodging provided by the vendor This is a great opportunity to work in a supportive and collaborative environment while enjoying the breathtaking surroundings of western Montana.
