DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Job Title: Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
- Job Type: Permanent Full-Time
- Location: East Chicago, IN
- Service Setting: Inpatient
- Schedule: Monday Friday, 7:00 a.m. 3:30 p.m.
- On-Call Expectations: Rotational evenings, weekends, and holidays in collaboration with anesthesiologists
- Start Date: Upon completion of credentialing (approximately 90120 days post-offer) PATIENT POPULATION & SCOPE
- Patient Demographics: Adult and geriatric surgical populations
- Average Daily Volume / Census: Based on surgical caseload and OR schedule
- Admissions & Rounding: Not applicable procedural-focused care
- Consults & Follow-Ups: As required per case management protocol
- Case Mix/Clinical Focus Areas: General, orthopedic, cardiac, obstetric, and outpatient surgical anesthesia FACILITY & TEAM DETAILS
- Beds in Department/Unit: Integrated within the surgical services department
- EMR System: Epic
- Specialty Backup: Full anesthesia care team model with physician anesthesiologists and surgical specialists
- Support Staff: Experienced anesthesia technicians and perioperative nursing staff
- Leadership & Reporting Structure: Reports to Chief CRNA and Anesthesia Medical Director
- Reason for Opening: Expansion and support of increasing surgical volume CREDENTIALING & COMPLIANCE

- DEA & Certifications: Active DEA; BLS and ACLS required

- Administer safe, effective anesthesia for surgical and procedural cases in a hospital setting
- Monitor patient vital signs and maintain anesthesia care throughout all surgical phases
- Collaborate with anesthesiologists and surgical teams to optimize perioperative outcomes
- Manage airway, fluid balance, and pharmacologic interventions as appropriate
- Participate in departmental quality assurance and safety initiatives
