This role leads a team of Crew Compensation analysts who support American Airlines’ Flight Attendant and Pilot groups by ensuring compensation processes are accurate, efficient, and contract‑compliant. It requires developing deep expertise in complex joint collective bargaining agreements, guiding analysts in applying that knowledge, and strengthening partnerships across Crew Compensation, Crew Scheduling, Labor, and other key operational teams. The position also plays a key part in driving continuous improvement and operational excellence within a highly specialized pay environment.

•    Lead, coach, and develop a team of Crew Compensation analysts responsible for daily and monthly crew compensation processing activities.
•    Ensure accurate and timely execution of compensation processes for Flight Attendants and Pilots in accordance with joint collective bargaining agreements.
•    Oversee workload distribution, performance management, and development planning for team members.
•    Serve as a subject matter expert on crew pay rules, systems, and processes, providing guidance and escalation support.
•    Partner with internal stakeholders to resolve complex pay issues and support contract interpretation.
•    Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, enhance system functionality, and improve overall operational efficiency.
•    Support audits, reporting, and compliance activities to ensure accuracy and adherence to contractual and regulatory requirements.
•    Contribute to cross-functional initiatives, system enhancements, and process redesign efforts.

All you'll need for success

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

•    Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, human resources, or related field, or equivalent experience/training.
•    4+ years of experience in compensation, payroll, crew scheduling, operations, or a related analytical function.
•    Prior experience leading or coaching teams in an operational or analytical environment.

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

•    Experience working with Flight Attendant or Pilot collective bargaining agreements.
•    Background in airline operations, crew pay, or crew scheduling systems.
•    Experience with data analysis, reporting tools, or process improvement methodologies.

•    Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel.
