This position offers a unique chance to contribute to an established Cardiology practice, providing expert care to the community. The ideal candidate will hold ACLS certification and possess a minimum of 2 years of cardiology experience. The coverage is set to begin immediately upon successful credentialing, with a Weekend Call Schedule spanning from Friday at 5 pm to Monday at 7 am, and a weekday schedule from 7 am to 5 pm. Joining a well-established practice, the Interventional Cardiologist will be part of a team consisting of 12 physicians and 8 advanced practice providers. The practice boasts state-of-the-art cath labs equipped with experienced and supportive staff. In this inpatient setting, the average inpatient census is 20-30, and the physician can expect 10-12 consults per day. The cath lab sees an average of 3-5 procedures daily, covering diagnostic cardiac catheterizations, right heart catheterizations, and various interventional procedures such as STENT and PTCA. One of the notable aspects of this opportunity is the absence of ICU duties, allowing the provider to focus on their specialty without the added responsibility of responding to codes. The Interventional Cardiologist will cover required procedures, including insertion of intra-aortic balloon pumps, temporary pacemaker placements, pericardiocentesis, Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEE), and cardioversions.
