The role supports manufacturing and customer technical needs, focusing on power distribution systems and medium voltage technologies.
TRCTalent seeks an Electrical Engineer for a full time role with a global manufacturer. Position can sit in Raleigh NC or remotely. Knowledge of E-Plan is a requirement for this role.

The EA Business Unit in Wendell, North Carolina, which is its U.S. headquarters, focuses on photovoltaic inverters, medium-voltage power distribution equipment including packaging and services, and solutions, including automation.
We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our Medium Voltage Switchgear team (covering both Gas-Insulated and Air-Insulated technologies). This role focuses on our SieBreak™ and 8DJH36 product lines, supporting design, documentation, and manufacturing in Wendell, NC.
You’ll make an impact by:
• Serve as Electrical Engineering point of contact for Siemens MV switchgear product SIEBREAKTM, SIEBREAK VCBTM , and 8DJH36 gear
• Job duties can be broken across 3 categories: “Design & Documentation”, “Collaboration”, “Support and Quality”
• Work independently to create all documents for customer approval and manufacturing of Medium Voltage switchgear per design specifications using Engineering Design and Configurator software Typical documents include:
o Electrical schematics
o Panel arrangement
o Bill of Material
o Nameplate schedule
o Three-line drawings
o Wiring diagrams
• Collaborate with multiple stakeholders across project lifecycle, including Application Engineers, Project Engineers, and Mechanical Engineers.
• Function as Quality gate prior to release of drawings/documentation to customer and factory. assembly drawings, detailed drawings, manufacturing sketches, layouts, inspection data and bill of materials
• Ownership of the overall deliverables from an electrical standpoint – including design, drafting, customer and factory deliverables point of view.
• Provide factory support during the manufacture phase of your projects making sure quality requirements are met. Also, in the process of providing technical support or clarifications to customers during FAT.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
• Knowledge of above mentioned product lines
• 2+ years of proven experience working with the engineering or drafting of electrical power distribution products and systems. Preference given to experience with switchgear.
• Strong working knowledge of standard protection and control technologies used in medium voltage distribution products with proven ability to share this knowledge with others.
• Electrical drafting experience with E-Plan, Engineering Base, ELCAD, and/or AutoCAD Electrical, or similar.
• Ability to multitask and manage large workloads and business demands.
• An ideal candidate is self-driven with attention to detail, a system thinker, and process-driven, and should also embrace a culture of quality.
• Candidate to have work authorization that would permit them to work within the United States.
• Ability to travel internationally; work will require trips to Germany.
