Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Labor and Delivery RN with current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and NIHSS certifications for a night shift position in Texas requiring rotating coverage for multiple perinatal care areas.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Labor and Delivery unit
• Rotate through triage, antepartum, labor, circulate, and transition areas (no postpartum care)
• Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00
• Minimum assignment length is 13 weeks, with options up to 16 weeks
• Cerner EMR experience is preferred
• Will be required to work one holiday, including both eve and day
• Must provide planned time off when seeking consideration for the role
• On-site drug screening is required prior to assignment
• Local candidates within a 50-mile radius are not accepted

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required (pending accepted if active by start date)
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, NRP, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) required
• Experience in labor and delivery nursing required
• Cerner charting experience preferred
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
