7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, 3 x 12 hours/week. Every other weekend required, and 3 out of 6 holidays required.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. This role includes planning, implementing, and documenting nursing care based on patient needs.

Responsibilities

• Identifying patient needs and determining priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Developing, implementing, and coordinating individualized plans of care for assigned patients through initial and ongoing assessments.
• Initiating assessments based on the patient’s problems or needs, the physician’s medical diagnosis, and the functional health framework.
• Performing therapeutic nursing interventions and managing the care of patients.
• Documenting care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and/or clinical priorities.
• Advocating for evidence-based practice care standards and supporting the adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery.
• Providing patient-centric care in alignment with the professional nursing practice model.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 3 years of experience required, with at least 1 year in a related specialty.
• ASN required; BSN preferred.
• BLS-AHA certification required.
• NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license required.
• NRP required; ACLS, Advanced AWHONN, or EFM preferred.
