Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State or compact state
• Emergency Room nursing experience preferred
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification recommended
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills
• Ability to excel in a high-acuity, fast-paced emergency care environment

ER RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate emergency care to patients in the Emergency Room
• Assess, triage, and monitor patients with acute and emergent medical conditions
• Administer medications, treatments, and emergency interventions as ordered
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Accurately document patient care and interventions in the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Educate patients and families on care plans, procedures, and discharge instructions
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized clinical environment in the Emergency Department
