American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with at least 2 years of experience, preferably inpatient, for a rural critical access hospital in Montana.
Responsibilities- Work in a critical access hospital serving inpatient, outpatient, rehab, and swing bed units
- Average daily census is 10 patients, with a patient mix of primarily geriatrics, older adults, and some pediatric sports injuries (ages 5+)
- Caseload includes total joints, stable stroke and TBI, stable traumas, falls, and general weakness
- Will split time between two facilities approximately 35-40 minutes apart
- Utilize Cerner Oracle for inpatient documentation and Cederon for outpatient documentation
- Monday to Friday schedule, 8:00am-5:00pm, with no weekend or on-call requirements
- One holiday shift per contract is expected
- Primary duties include providing physical therapy for a variety of patient populations in both inpatient and outpatient settings
- Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team and participate in daily huddles with providers and nursing staff
- Supported by a PTA, another PT, a front desk receptionist, and available management
- One week of unit orientation provided in addition to facility orientation
- Business casual dress code with jeans allowed on Fridays

- Active Montana Physical Therapist license required if applicable
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree required
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of physical therapy experience required; inpatient experience preferred but other experience will be considered
- Experience with gait training, mobility training, strength training, and lift devices
- Comfortable working with both geriatric and some pediatric patients
- Experience with EMR systems, especially Cerner Oracle and Cederon, preferred
