RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Weekly guaranteed hours: 36 or 48 hours (must be specified on submission)
• 13-week assignment length
• Weekend work required every other weekend as required by facility
• No call requirements
• May be floated to other units depending on staffing needs
• Patient ratios: 1:6-7 on nights (ratios not guaranteed)
• 20-bed unit caring for medical/surgical patients
• Work with equipment including Nova meters for blood glucose, Alaris IV pumps, Kangaroo pumps, and SCD machines
• Use EPIC electronic medical records system
• Dress code: Black scrubs required, no open-toed shoes
• Required: Current RN license eligible for Missouri, BLS from AHA, 1 year medical surgical inpatient experience
• Preferred: ACLS from AHA
• Flu vaccination or approved exemption required November 1-April 1
• Perform direct patient care activities including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Care for patients post-trauma, surgical interventions, and medical comorbidities
• Coordinate patient care with ancillary departments
• Physical demands include standing and walking most of shift, lifting up to 50 pounds, and potential exposure to blood and body fluids
