This role is for a full-time Family Practice Physician to serve as Medical Director or Chief Medical Officer in Rocky Mount, NC. The Medical Director oversees patient services, develops medical policies, supervises clinical staff, and ensures quality assurance and compliance with credentialing standards. The position also involves staff orientation, participation in quality improvement activities, and collaboration with executive leadership to maintain effective healthcare delivery.
Primary Care-Medical Director Opening in NCRocky Mount, NCFull Time-Permanent PositionMedical Director Position (Also staff positions available) We are currently recruiting for a qualified primary care physician that has the capacity and motivation to step in as Medical Director or Chief Medical Officer. Position Purpose:The Medical Director provides outreach patient services and primary direction for all medicalaspects of the organization and serves as chief spokesperson for the organization on all medicalmatters. Position will participate in QI activities as needed.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Conducts regular sampling and review of patient charts.Develop, review and update FMC medical policies, procedures and protocols.Supervise medical and mental health staff and services.Manage the clinical aspects of the Quality Control and Medical Quality Assurance Planswhich involves monitoring and evaluating the quality of care given by all medical personnel.Ensure medical staff and health staff adheres to the credentialing review and privilegingprocess.Maintains and adequate, current clinical infrastructure to support the provision ofappropriate patient care.Responsible for orientation of new physicians and mental health staff.Promote interdepartmental efficiency and communication among staff members.Works with the Executive Director in promoting good public relations.Attend regular meetings, seminars and training as assigned.Maintains appropriate medical certification as required by the NC Medical Board.Qualifications:Graduation from an accredited medical school with a degree of Doctor of Medicine, Family Practice,Internal Medicine, OB/GYN and Pediatrics.Must have knowledge in preferred completion of an approved residency training program in FamilyPractice or Internal Medicare.Please Inquiry for more information.
