Job Details:
• Provide nursing care to pediatric intensive care patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex
• 1 year of nursing experience required
• Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients
• Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments
• Assist physicians in examination of patients and performing minor diagnostic procedures
• Obtain and monitor physiological data of patients and intervene when necessary
• Administer medications as prescribed and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products
• Interact with families and patients regarding care plans during hospitalization and discharge
• Delegate tasks to support staff and make referrals to appropriate personnel
• Required certifications: Current RN License (Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or multistate compact eNLC), Basic Life Support (American Heart Association), PALS (American Heart Association)
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from accredited program required
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills required
• Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors
