• Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond promptly to on-call situations during assigned weekend shifts, providing consultations and interventions for hospitalized patients with urologic conditions.
  • Conduct comprehensive consultations and round on patients assigned to the urology service.
  • Perform essential urologic procedures and surgeries as needed to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Collaborate effectively with the on-call team, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver seamless patient care.
  • Document patient care accurately and efficiently within the facility's electronic medical records system.

• Qualifications for Success:

  • Current board certification in Urology is mandatory.
  • Valid and active medical license in the state of Kentucky is required.
  • Current ACLS and BLS certifications are mandatory.
  • Experience performing general urology procedures, advanced endoscopic techniques (including ureteroscopy), and laser surgery is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients, colleagues, and staff.
  • The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment is crucial.
  • Ability to remain calm and make critical decisions in fast-paced, acute care situations.
