Job Description
The PACU Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). Candidates must possess critical care skills and be comfortable managing patients of all ages, including pediatrics.
Responsibilities
- Provide post-anesthesia care to patients in the PACU
- Monitor patient vital signs and perform cardiac monitoring
- Administer medications and titrate multiple drips as necessary
- Manage critical care equipment including art lines
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide appropriate interventions
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum 2-5 years of critical care PACU experience
- Experience in a large, teaching facility
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
- EPIC experience within the past 2 years (non-negotiable)
