ICU RN Travel Job Details

• Location: Sullivan, Indiana 47882
• Healthcare Setting: Acute Care ICU (Intensive Care Unit)
• Unit: ICU (2 beds within a 22-bed acuity care unit)
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 11/27/2025 – End: 2/26/2026)
• Nursing Shift: 12-hour nights (7pm–7am), 3 shifts per week
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1880 - $2020 per week
• Self-Scheduling: Available (finalized by nurse manager)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirement: Rotating with permanent staff
• Floating: May float to MedSurg/Telemetry units
• Dress Code: Steel Gray scrubs
• Orientation: 2 days unit-specific orientation
• Charting System: MEDITECH 6.0

ICU Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Indiana or compact state; willing to wait for licensure if needed)
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience required
• Travel nursing experience preferred
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred
• Proficient in reading and interpreting cardiac monitor strips
• Experience with titrating all common IV drips

ICU RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment plans
• Titrate and manage all common intravenous drips as required
• Operate and manage ventilators, CPAP, and BiPAP equipment
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals
• Float to MedSurg/Telemetry units as needed
• Participate in self-scheduling, work every other weekend, and rotate holidays
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and clinical standards
