Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a night shift LTAC position requiring vent/trach and central line experience in a long-term acute care setting.
Responsibilities
- Work in a long-term acute care (LTAC) hospital on a chronic care unit
- Night shift schedule from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am
- Patient population includes chronic and medically complex cases
- Ventilator and tracheostomy care required
- Experience with central lines preferred
- May require wound care management
- Responsible for shift accountability in patient care utilizing the nursing process and critical thinking
- Delegates and supervises assigned personnel in delivering patient care
- Staff must clock in and out of the electronic timekeeping system
- Local candidates within a 50-mile radius will be paid at a reduced rate
- Candidates cannot be currently employed as permanent staff at any location during assignment
- Full US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
- RCIS and RQI certifications are not accepted
- No Canadian SINs accepted
Requirements
- Active OH or compact RN license required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association required
- Minimum of 2 years recent LTAC or relevant specialty experience required
- Must have vent/trach care experience and knowledge of central line management
- Certifications must not expire within 30 days of assignment start
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
