Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for night shifts in California, requiring a CA RN license and proficiency with Epic EMR.
Responsibilities
- Position is in the ICU unit of an acute care hospital
- Night shift schedule: 3x12 hour shifts from 18:45 to 07:15
- Required to work every other weekend and holidays as needed
- Epic EMR system is used and experience is required
- Responsibilities include direct patient care, education, and coordination of transitions of care within the ICU
- Care is delivered holistically to patients and includes collaboration with families, physicians, and healthcare teams
- Must adhere to a 50 mile radius rule for eligibility
- Return staff policy requires a minimum one-year break before returning as a traveler
- Only one holiday requested off (RTO) will be approved during the contract
- Availability to complete lab work within 3-5 days of signing required
- Dress code and additional orientation details provided upon acceptance
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Proven Epic EMR experience is required
- Minimum of 2 years' ICU RN experience is required unless specified otherwise
- PALS must be obtained within 180 days of hire
- TNCC certification is required within 180 days of hire
- NIHSS certification is required within 90 days of hire
- Previous travel nursing experience required
