PATIENT INFORMATION
• Patient Demographics: Adults, including those living with HIV
• Patient Volume/Census: Minimum 14/day expected (higher for extended shifts)
• Admissions: No
• Rounding: Not Included
• Phone Consults: Yes
• Case Mix: HIV, chronic conditions (diabetes, hypertension, asthma, etc.), STIs, urgent care
FACILITY INFORMATION
• Specialty Backup Available: Cardiology, Surgery, etc.
• Support Staff Available: RNs, APPs, care managers, admin
• Reason for Coverage: Supplemental Coverage
REQUIRED PROCEDURES
• Management of primary care and common urgent conditions
• STI testing and treatment
• Routine HIV management and labs
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Licenses: Active state medical license
• Board: BC/BE in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine preferred
• DEA: Active DEA Certification
• Certifications: BLS; AAHIVM Certification within 18 months of hire
• Experience: Experience in outpatient primary/HIV care preferred
• Other Qualifications: Proficiency with EMR; ability to manage productivity metrics
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• See a minimum of 14 patients per 8-hour day (pro rata for longer shifts)
• Coordinate scheduling to account for no-shows
• Complete clinical notes within 72 hours; attach charges to visits
• Deliver comprehensive primary care and HIV management
• Handle urgent care needs (UTIs, cuts, burns, respiratory infections)
• Collaborate with nursing and admin teams for walk-ins
• Review labs and consult notes timely
• Respond to refills within 72 hours; check emails/voicemails daily
• Participate in patient retention efforts
• Supervise NPs/PAs if applicable
• Maintain AAHIVM certification
COMPENSATION ADDENDUM
• Competitive Salary
• Retention Bonus: $100,000 total, paid in three installments over 3 years
• Quarterly Bonus: Up to $2,500 based on metrics and satisfaction
• Biweekly Volume Bonus: $100 per visit over 14/day
• CME: 5 days + $3,500 allowance per year
• License and Membership: Up to 100% reimbursed depending on FTE status
• Vacation: days/year, depending on tenure
• Sick Leave: 9 days/year (2.78 hrs/pay period, uncapped accrual)
• Holidays: 8 fixed + 1 floating holiday/year
