The Advanced Surgical Oncologist will be an integral part of our surgical team in the Center for Digestive Health at Virginia Mason Franciscan Health. This role seeks a dedicated surgeon focused on the comprehensive care of patients with complex oncologic conditions. This role offers the unique opportunity to leverage your expertise, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and significantly contribute to program development and resident education. Provide advanced surgical care for patients with a broad spectrum of oncologic diseases, including: Hepatopancreaticobiliary (HPB) cancers Gastric cancer Sarcoma Melanoma Other complex malignancies as appropriate Actively participate in the education and mentorship of general surgery residents, providing guidance and hands-on experience in advanced oncologic surgical techniques. Collaborate effectively with medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, radiologists, pathologists, and other specialists to ensure a comprehensive and integrated approach to patient care. Establish and nurture key partnerships within the medical community and with referring providers to build a robust referral network.
