We have an immediate opening for a physician to provide outpatient gastroenterology services in a clinic near George, Washington. Job Highlights: Position Type: Locum Tenens Location: Near George, Washington Specialty: Gastroenterology Start Date: ASAP Duration: Ongoing with potential for long-term engagement Schedule: Scheduled clinical hours only, no inpatient work required Patients Per Day: 14-16, focusing on complex liver and GI cases along with new referrals Call Requirements: None Setting: Outpatient clinic with procedures performed under conscious sedation Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive evaluations and manage a variety of gastrointestinal conditions. Perform in-clinic procedures, including: Pill Cam interpretation PEG tube exchanges Hemoccult testing Lidocaine injections Collaborate with a team that includes a PA-C and occasional shifts by employed GI providers. Review pathology, manage referrals, and provide guidance to support staff as needed. Requirements: Licensing: Washington State license or eligibility through the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC). Certifications: Board certification in Gastroenterology; ACLS and BLS required. Experience: Fellowship training in Gastroenterology; experience with procedures such as endoscopy, colonoscopy, and liver biopsy preferred. EMR System: Proficiency in Epic (training provided if necessary). Credentialing Timeline: 60-90 days, with expedited privileges for clean history.
