The Wound Care Physician provides specialized outpatient treatment for patients with open wounds using advanced therapies including hyperbaric oxygen and negative pressure wound therapy. The physician works within a collaborative team in a full-time, Monday-Friday schedule without on-call duties. Board certification or eligibility and licensure in Indiana are required, with benefits including malpractice coverage, insurance, CME, and 401K.

Team includes 1physician, i Nurse Practitionerand 7 support staff.

Job Description

Treat patients with open wounds from birth to advanced age needing advanced wound care such as: hyperbaric oxygen therapy, total contact casting, negative pressure wound therapy, and cellular and tissue-based products.
10-15 encounters per day, with a majority of wound care and less than 5% Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy.
Procedures:
- Cellulitis therapy
- Compression therapy
- Hyperbaric oxygen therapy
- Infection management and prevention
- Wound cleaning
- Wound dressing
- Skin substitution applications
- Wound debridement
- Wound cultures and biopsies
- Bone cultures and biopsies
- TCOM testing

Minimum job requirements (qualifications)

Board Eligible or Board Certified
Physician MD/DO licensed in Indiana or eligible for medical licensure in Indiana
will consider specialties in General Surgery, Podiatry, Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine & Family medicine.
