A Pulmonology - Critical Care Physician providing specialized inpatient critical care, including invasive and non-invasive respiratory procedures, managing ICU patients and supervising residents as needed. The role involves managing high-acuity patients in a Level 1 Trauma community hospital setting with an average of 16-20 ICU patients and 20 non-ICU patients daily. The physician works scheduled shifts with weekend coverage responsibilities, utilizing EMR systems like Epic and upholding high standards of patient care in pulmonary and critical care medicine.

- Inpatient Setting
- Regular Scheduled Shifts (No Call)
- 1 to 2 Weekends per month
Candidate Requirements:
- Invasive (ETT/NT/Tracheostomy)
- Non-Invasive (BiPAP,CPAP)
- Central Line
- Arterial Line
- PA Catheter
- Thoracentesis
- Chest Tube Insertion
- Bronchoscopy, Bronchoscopy/ Bronchial Alveolar Lavage (BAL)
- Evaluation and Management of Acute Volume BP Issues
Job Details
- Schedule: Saturday 7am - Monday 7am (One to two weekends a month)
- Average Number of ICU Patients Per Day: 16-20
- Average Number of Inpatient (Non-ICU) Patients per Physician per Day: 20
- Average Number of Admissions per Physician per Day: 6-8
- Trauma Level/Designation: Level 1 for St. Vincent. Perrysburg is small community based hospital
- Number of ICU beds: 20
- Number of Critical Care Physicians in Group: 5 other providers will be present during coverage
- Locum may be required to supervise resident physicians, if they are on service during that time
- EMR: Epic
- Est Credentialing Timeframe: 30-90 days (Depending on responsiveness and background)
Compensation for this opportunity is highly competitive at $275/hr.
